THE APPROACH TO TEACHING & LEARNING

a&p’s approach to teaching and learning takes inspiration from an art form that originated in Japan called the ‘tea ceremony’. The tea ceremony is an inter-action individuals - host and guest - who ritualise the preparing and drinking of tea.

Here the way one approaches the drinking of tea, is the art. It is also a philosophic process: where through drinking tea, one can come to a profound understanding that each and every action in our daily life, is a moment or space of ‘being’.

a&p is a tea ceremony without the tea, a space where the education experience itself becomes the art.

a&p is currently the primary element of the
8 technology research proejct initiatied at Goldsmiths, University of London.
